Hello, I'm Sam.
I'm thirty-something years old and I've discovered quite a few truths in that short period of time. Some of them were years in the making, and some were known to me before I could even speak.
One of those truths of the latter sort is knowing that I, like my creator, was made to create. I explored many mediums in my earlier years in pursuit of that urge: the ubiquitous crayon, half-dried markers, my Dad's colored pencils that I borrowed (and subsequently lost), an amalgamation of toilet paper and glue ...
Eventually I grew up, and that truth remained just that: a truth. I discovered new ways to create and this yearning for creation (and adventure) lead me to join the military and become one of the Air Force's ranks of military creatives: a photographer. I learned a new means of expression from behind the lens, and the military trained me in other media, as well--nurturing my interest in graphic design.
I continued to explore and create and upon my re-entry into the civilian world, I became a graphic designer. I returned to school and began my foray into Fine Arts--which brought me full-circle and allowed me to use all of the tools I had been gathering since my inception as an artist. In the end, all of the skills benefit one another.
I'm glad to say the adventure has only begun.
